I know that I'm not doing much at the moment to increase my chances at finding a job in my field, so I thought it would be good idea to try and get some more hands-on experience at a museum.  Since the Egyptian Museum wasn't much interested in letting me handle artifacts or even tidy up the displays that had fallen over, I won't be going back there ( Read more... )

I volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank.  Go me!
Seriously, I can't remember the last time I volunteered somewhere.  It's been ages.

I was with my church group.   When we got there, the food bank assigned us to sorting apples, so for four hours this is what we did.  Big, pallet-sized bins of apples were bagged up into little three pound bags.  ( Read more... )
