YES!!!

Today I approved the proof for the flint-knapping exhibit sign!

The sign went through multiple revisions since my last post about it.  I was able to identify the two fonts used on it, thanks to help from my friends on Facebook.  The colors were tweaked to bring them more in line with the signs already on display in the museum, and the ( Read more... )

It's hard to believe that a few weeks ago the museum was so bustlin' and busy, because this past week it has been like a ghost town.  If you're visiting, it's great - you've practically got the museum to yourself!  But it is so very hard to stay awake when it is this slow ( Read more... )

So you're familiar with TED Talks, right? Basically, they're brief discussions/lectures - usually ten minutes or so - focused on a particular topic that is an "idea worth spreading". After such a delightful late night stew of dinosaur fossils and reality TV, I was wiped out. I decided to sleep through Friday's first session, since none of the topics particularly caught my attention and I knew the next day would be another early morning. It was great.
