It took the small group four and a half months to read Mere Christianity, because sessions kept getting canceled throughout the summer. Considering we had agreed to read three chapters a week, and there are thirty-three chapters, it should have been finished in eleven weeks. That's pathetic.

Tonight, Jeannie and I led the discussion in our Bible study group. We were focused on 1 Corinthians 12:1-14:40, a section that discusses spiritual gifts. It devotes a decent length of space to the gift of tongues, and how this differs from the gift of prophesy.
