Book recommendations

I'm starting to build a little library for Clover; so far we have bought / been given these:
- The Five Chinese Brothers
- The Gruffalo
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
- A no. of Dr. Seuss titles
- Goodnight Moon
- A book of Hans Christian Andersen's tales

Any other recommendations? Is it worth buying soft / cloth books so 'Lil Clover can hold onto / touch ( Read more... )

Hi, found your blog thru bloghopping and love your style. I hav "guess how much I love you" for my daughter, the illustrations are gorgeous! I bought a soft photo album to fill with photos ofthe grandparents that she used to play with, makes crinkly sounds and has mirror at the back :)

Try getting more Eric Carle & Dr Seuss books. For me, i liked getting those touch-and-feel books for Preston when he was a little younger.

Now i buy books with themes he likes or any other books that have repetitive word/sound patterns. :)

I love Dr Suess ones, but haven't gone around getting them. At their age, I think should get something fun and innovative. I think innovative kids books are interesting for the lil ones! You can check them out here:http://www.diapers.com/cat=Toys-Books-8/Brand=Innovative+Kids/Format=Board+Books
