Book recommendations

I'm starting to build a little library for Clover; so far we have bought / been given these:
- The Five Chinese Brothers
- The Gruffalo
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
- A no. of Dr. Seuss titles
- Goodnight Moon
- A book of Hans Christian Andersen's tales

Any other recommendations? Is it worth buying soft / cloth books so 'Lil Clover can hold onto / touch / drool on them?
