So somebody really dropped the ball here at home today. I mean, someone really wasn't doing their job.
How can I tell? Because I was allowed to get bored.
How can I tell? Because I ended up doing this:
Y'see, when I came home, Hal had left all of his change out on the bed in a big pile. And I said to myself, "I bet he was looking for quarters." So I wanted to do him a favor and separate out all the quarters. But then the nickels kept on getting in the way. So I separated out all the nickels. And then I figured I should just go ahead and separate out all the dimes too.
And then I had this huge lump of pennies.
and then I said to myself "Those are really dirty! and HEY, I know how to clean pennies!"
So I stuck 'em all in the sink and vinegar and salted them with some latex gloves. And then I wondered if I could find one of each year.
And then I started stacking them. And about halfway through, I figured if I'd done that many, I might as well finish...after all, I wanted to see what the distribution of pennies looked like!
I was kind of surprise to see how few 1981 pennies there were. Also, I had a continuous stream of pennies from 2008 all the way back to 1963! Every year had at least 4 pennies, except for 1981. Which only had 3. I guess that year is a collector's item.
Some pennies are worth more than others....
