Atlantic City

I have been meaning to post about Atlantic City. Caroline and I went there on Sunday to have a nice day at the beach. The water wasn't crystal clear, but it was still pretty. We watched the tide for a while, and looked for shells. It was too cold to swim, but we waded a bit in the shallows.

Other highlights of the trip included some fun shopping in a VERY cool mall with awesome architecture, a fun game of putt putt, two tasty meals, and watching some guy sprint a quarter mile before being taken down by casino security and arrested.

In other news, work is slow this week. We went crazy in production last week, so we have enough material to last the whole week. I've been filling my time with other tasks as best I can. It's not exciting stuff, but I'm paid the same whether I'm doing awesome stuff or sitting around killing time. Things could be a lot worse.

Also somewhat interesting, I saw a kid hit a moving car today. He was rough housing with some friends, and one of them pushed him into traffic. Luckily, he hit the side of a slow moving van and wasn't hurt. The driver rolled down his window and said something, but the kids didn't seem to care. I can't imagine what would have happened if the kid had been pushed one second earlier.

Now I'm just waiting to go home. This should be a good week. I've got another painting coming on Thursday, and I think my folks are coming this weekend. It's also a long weekend thanks to Yom Kippur. Yay for holidays!
