Well, considering what it is, I think I'd opt for "concerned" over pissed off. "I'm concerned that movies like these will give him nightmares, do you worry about that?" etc. Turn it into *his* idea. That will be especially effective if said three-year-old disrupted/disrupts his sleep. :D
