I have excellent news: in the very near future, my disk space problems
will be solved for the time being.
I have more excellent news: sometime in the very near future, I'll be
doing an integrity check of all of my backup DVDs. And really hoping that
all the discs pass.
The Shingetsutan Tsukihime drive (sda) has failed. Partitions satsuki,
hdeboot, hisui (backups), kohaku (substantial mp3 archive) and arcueid (all
video files), rest in peace. Replacement device ordered, migrating to
500GB, expecting full data recovery, backups offline. And
apparently the sound of a failing hard drive still wakes me up in the
morning.
