I can hardly believe how fast teh summer is going.
Working mornings and having the neighbor watch the kids is working pretty darn well. The kids have built in playdates most mornings, alicen is really enjoying school and we've hung at the playground most afternoons. Last week was way too hot for my liking.
We had another block party for the fourth, I had to work most of the day but came home to a good time. tons of food, lots of drinks, and a whole bunch of fireworks.
I had to open the next day so went to bed earlyish, but still had a great time.
Conor has had a pretty good summer so far. I do think the meds are working pretty well. he has had a couple little flair ups where he gets really angry but he's able to get himself back in control fairly quickly and talk about things. He has also seemed to have more happiness in him lately. he'll joke more, he's more loving, quicker to apologize or make ammends. When we were at his last therapy appointment he thanked his doctor for talking to the school and helping to get his classroom changed. That is a big step for him.
I am thankful that we put him on the meds. he seems more like conor than he has in awhile. We're down to one therapy session a month for the summer, we'll pick up more in the school year.

Barry is taking the kids to Montana for his 20 year class reunion, I am working but wish I could go see G. They will stay with him in Spokane both on the way there and on the way home.
G is at an A1 status for his heart transplant. A person who was ahead of him got a heart. I think that being at A1 status means that they go more national in looking for a heart, not just regional. We're all feeling very emotional about the whole thing. It's a bit hard to wrap our brain around the fact that for G to live a longer life someone else has to loose theirs. Thier family is going to sign papers saying it is ok for G to get a heart. It's hard to think about the real details of it all.

gotta go, kids are back from playing outside with friends.
