Dawnguard Frustration

Dawnguard is awesome.  However, I researched something that has me deeply upset.  It is this:

I'm playing my khajit sneaky thief who specializes in archery and daggers.  I decided this type of character would be a good fit in siding with the vampires (the questline has you side with either vampires or vampire hunters) and I was correct in this assumption: being a vampire nets you bonuses to sneak and such as well as promoting the strategy of slinking around in the dark away from that mean old sun.

I figured I would side with the vampire hunters on my original save, a sword-and-board imperial character and focus on the werewolf skill tree.  She's already a werewolf and everything, so I'm on top of that.  Here's the thing:

There's some new weapons in the addon but the main draw is the addition of crossbows.  No more than 2 minutes in to the questline and your initial arrival at the vampire hunters' base (which you go to before deciding which side to align with) one of the guys there literally hands you a crossbow, some bolts, and says "try it out."

Here's the issue:  you can now craft your own arrows for normal bolts.  That's great.  You can also craft bolts.  But ONLY if you side with the vampire hunters.  The ability to craft bolts is essentially a quest reward for the good guys.  So if you choose to be a vampire, well, no bolts for you.  The only way to get them then is to kill Good Guy patrols, which I haven't even seen yet, or find them on particular dwemer construct mobs.  That's it.

So my archer has this awesome crossbow and virtually no income of bolts to arm it with.  THEN, when I switch over to my sword and board character I'll have all the bolts I could ever want but I'm pretty sure I don't have even a single point in the archery skill tree with her.  So I'm boned, as far as crossbows go, both times.
