Last night we went to The Christmas Revels in Sanders Theater in Cambridge. What a great show as usual. This one was 1930's American - usually a different theme each year, last year's was Nordic. Last weekend I went to New York City for my 60th High School reunion at Dalton School. When I attended there, the high school was girls only so I only attended 1st through 8th grades and then went on to Fieldston. My 8th grade graduation was in 1952 but they treat us as if we were in the class of 56.

Arts Emerson is a relatively new organization that is putting on some very interesting theater these days.

We just saw You're a Good Man Charlie Brown at the Gloucester Stage Company. I'd say that it was well done but making a full length musical out of the themes in that splendid strip (which is still being rerun in the Gloucester Daily Times) is a big reach. We just saw a delightful play Martha Mitchell Calling at the Central Square Theatre. It is by Jodi Rothe and stars Annette Miller as Martha - it's essentially a one women 90 minute play with a bit of John Mitchell played by Timothy Sawyer. It was well done and quite hilarious and quite reflective of the times and the reality of this crazy women. ( Read more... )
