Have you ever?:
1. Made bread from scratch? Yes - these days with a bread machine, but I'vedone it without many years ago.
2. Cooked fresh squash? Saute'd, or oven roasted - Scorn, zucchini, etc.
3. Made homemade soup? One in a while. lots of vegetables.
4. Fried chicken? Usually roast or grill chicken - thighs most of the time.
5. Made spaghetti sauce from scratch? Frequently - canned tomatoes and tomato paste among other things.
6. Made homemade rolls or cinnamon rolls? Don't really remember, probably did..
7. Baked a cake from scratch? Yes - though not very recently.
8. Made icing from scratch? Don't use icing.
9. Cooked a pot roast with all the veggies? Yes - brisket.
10. Made chili from scratch? Don't really like chili. - so no.
11. Made a meatloaf? Often make turkey meatloaf - but I've done beef too.
12. Made potato salad? Probably not.

14. Made any pies from scratch? I like to make fruit tarts. Graham cracker and butter crust, peaches, or berries. with fruit sauce p[oured over before baking. My standard for pot-lucks.
15. Made sausage from scratch? No.
16. Made fudge? Maybe a long time ago.
17. Made cookies from scratch? chocolate chip. Also graham crscker, condensed milk, chocolate chip, and nuts brownies.
18. Cooked a pot of dried beans? I don't think so.
19. Cooked a pot of greens? Often sauté vegetables - mixed - usually with onions or shallots.
20. Made cornbread from scratch? Occasionally
21. Made a pie dough from scratch? Not real dough, but crushed graham crackers and butter.
22. Cooked a whole turkey? Yes. Also duck.
23. Snapped green beans & cooked them? Yes, often add sliced almonds.
24. Made mashed potatoes from scratch? Not recently.
25. Prepared a meal for 30 plus people? I and several people have cooked food in a school kitchen during a weekend folk festival and served it to a few hundred people. It was a fund raiser for our contra dance and English Country dance group. Sadly they stopped having the festival in a school so we can't do it any more. I miss my once-a-year career as a food service worker.
26. Made homemade tortillas? No
27. Made pancakes from scratch? Every third Sunday. Corn and soy flour, fruit juice, wild blueberries and chopped pecans. Also make waffles from scratch - whole wheat flour and milk is the liquid. For both separate the eggs and beat the egg whites and then fold them in.
28. Roasted vegetables in the oven instead of boiling them? Often sauté them, but often roast them - they really are better roasted..
29. Made pasta from scratch? No.
30. Made tamales from scratch? No.
31. Made tuna or chicken salad? Canned tuna or canned salmon - mayonnaise and nuts.
32. Fried fish? Pan-fried or sautéed fish often.
33. Made baked beans? No
34. Made ice cream from scratch? Yes with an ice cream maker . Not recently.
35. Made jam or jelly? Jam from fresh picked or farmers' market berries.
36. Zested an orange or lemon? Frequently oranges in pancake or waffle batter.
37. Made grits from scratch? No
38. Made an omelet? Yes often - add vegetables and sometime cheese - but more frequently make a frittata.
39. Made homemade pizza? No
40. Lived in a house without a dishwasher? The place we moved to last year is the first time we have lived in a place with a dishwasher. Also first garbage disposal.
