Dead Man Walking
Yesterday we went to the Met in HD broadcast of Dead Man Walking. It was an incredible experience. Wonderful. Unlike most operas that are about fairy tale like situations this was very realistic about a homicide. And it covered the feelings of victims' and perpetrator's family and other people such as the sister Helen. I got to think about the reality of this process and of course it brought up many memories of my own experience as a juror on a homicide trial in 1992.
