GOD I FRIGGIN HATE WINDOWS
Up til very late last night doing Otakon stuff.
Got to work today, and quickly discovered something rotten in the state of my new work PC, namely that I could not print, and that I could not properly connect to other computers via RDC. These things are pretty vital to my job function. RDC updated itself in the background, apparently hidden in one of the critical updates. I can probably live with that but it was annoying anyway.
So when I haven't been in conference calls or out in the hall screaming with rage, I've been reinstalling windows on my new pc. I've walked through the (useless, apparently) troubleshooting tools I can find. I'm now reinstalling the EIGHTY patches and "critical updates" that have come out for Windows in the last 5 months. Hopefully one of the bastards will fix the problem.
Minutes after I received proposed flight plans for my J-guests, one of them asked to change their plans to come out earlier. And the hoped-for flight I'd been looking for for another guest sold out in the last five days.
Perhaps this latest lightning storm will strike the computer and me, and I won't have to care anymore. I kinda wish i'd been eaten by zombies yesterday.
