Golden Compass

So I saw The Golden Compass tonight, and was pleasantly surprised to find that, though it was not as gripping as I'd hoped it would be (being a HUGE fan of the books, and, ya know, KNOWING what was going to happen), I was genuinely enjoying it.

Oh... Em... Gee...

SPEED RACER live action movie????!!! I don't know if I'm scared or really, really stoked.

I was very little when Speed Racer was on (yeah, I'm dating myself). It was one of my earliest favorite TV shows. My mom tells me NO ONE could disturb me when Speed Racer was on. Now, I don't actually remember anything about the show except for some mental images and the fact that Trixie always needed to be rescued. But... John Goodman as Pops? I think my brain just exploded.

I SO have to see this.

YEAH I KNOW ME TOO! I mean... Speed Racer was a little before my time, but I watched it as a kid too! And... for some reason that I cannot explain, I am REALLY excited for the movie. I think it's just because it LOOKS AWESOME graphics wise? That has to be the reason...
