The Rule of 3

I'm pretty sure I half-assed this one... or im just saying that to save face because I have doubt its any good.  Maybe haha  anyways Its finished~  Hopefully its entertaining... Most likely not.

----------------------------------------------------
This year, Summer 2007, was taken prisoner to the mass marketing prowness of Hollywood and held hostage under to the tyrannical rule of 3.  Lets look at what movies came out this summer:

- Spider-Man 3
- Shrek the Third
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
- Oceans 13
- Playstation 3
- The Bourne Ultimatum
- Rush Hour 3
- The Office Season 3 DVD
[with 3 Hours of Delete Scenes and Bonus Features.]
- Resident Evil 3
- Halo 3

Should I add 300? Mmm, even I think thats a bit of a stretch.  Anyways back to our summer of trilogies, how was it?  How's your wallet?  Honestly did you really keep up with every single trilogy just to find out the endings?  I can tell you $40 million dollars worth of people did.  That's an average of how much each movie made this summer [obvious this doesnt include the PS3 and Halo].  Worth of being noted, Pirates 3 on opening day grossed $43 million, just short of the record Pirates 2 set last year of $55.8 million.  Later Pirates went on and made $135 million over the weekend.  Shrek the Third brought in  $40 million falling uncomfortably short of Shrek 2's $108 million in 2004.  Rush Hour 3 opened with $18.9 million which fell incredible low from the $67.4 million, Chan and Tucker made in 2001.  Finally Spider-Man 3 opened in 4,253 theaters in North America alone and grossed $59.8 million on opening day (later to make $151.1 million over the weekend).

And now you're wondering what did Spider-man 2 make the years before?  Can you guess?  Okay I'll give you a second.  Go ahead pick a number, I can wait.  What do you need help?  Hmm Well if you saw Spider-Man 2, you can safely assume that it made atleast $7.50.  (That is IF you bought the ticket instead of just sneaking in the back door.)  Okay got a number?  (I really do hope its not just $7.50...) Last year, Sony Pictures', which was in collaboration with Columbia Pictures, Spider-Man 2, staring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, and Directed by Sam Raimi.... Written by Stan Lee...and opening on June 30th, 2004...with music by Danny Elfman.. Okay im having too much fun with this.  The movie only made roughly $40 Million on opening day.  See what I did there?  Establishment of an inductive pattern and closing with a counter conclusive plot twist. Haha.

That right this, movie actually grossed $20 milllion more than the previous.  Quite an accomplishment if the history of 07's Rule of 3 if you ask me.  Once again I'll ask how are your wallets?  I'm sure the bigwigs in Hollywood are laughing at you from their $600 million dollar telescope they built just for that purpose.  Luckily It is all behind us now and we can finally be free from the tyranical but alluring enticement of Summer 07 Film roster.  By the way, What paragraph number is this? (Not counting the intro)
