Adventures in Ft. Worth
Lexi and I are here safe and sound.
We drove up on Thursday afternoon. Since I didn't know my way around here at all; before I left Houston I printed off maps on MSN to everywhere...the office, Lexi's school and YMCA to sign her up for YMCA after school. We got to the apt. complex and signed the lease and yada, yada, yada. It was supposed to be a furnished apartment ,and I was only going to bring our clothes, linens and cook ware. I walk into our apartment for the first time and the first thing I notice is it's huge. I mean seriously 2 times bigger than the Kingwood apartment. The second thing I notice is the furniture is trailer park furniture. Seriously?! They have crappy furniture in this nice apartment! Oh well it's only 3 months. We can handle it. After we got everything unpacked (which took about 30 min) I realized all the stuff I forgot. Pillows, trash can and hangers! Hello April?! We went to the Wal-mart that is less than 2 blocks from where we live. Score! I ended up spending almost $300! Holy crap!
The next morning I woke up to register Lexi for school. That is a whole adventure in itself and I'll tell you about it later. I have to get back to work. Stay tuned!
