My mom called me this morning.
My grandma passed away. I
t's a little weird. I wasn't that close to my mom's side of the family, but I just figured they would live forever.
They live in Virginia Beach, Virginia and I haven't been there in almost 5 years. Growing up my grandparents never sent us birthday cards or Christmas presents. The probably didn't even know our birthdays. Oh well.
I can't figure out if I'm sad or not, sooooo I'm probably not. I'm sad for my mom. It has to be hard loosing a parent even if they were 85 years old. She loved her mom, but they weren't close either.
I think my grandpa will be close behind.
They were married for over 60 years.
