The happiness of giving, and the joy that you receive.
The members who give presents even if they are in one room, Arashi's laughter-inducing and touching secret present stories!
Sho: The very first mutual present from the members that I can recall is the incident from many years back where I received a bouquet of white flowers from Aiba-kun. (laugh)
Nino: Is that called an incident? (laugh)
Sho: I have common friends with Aiba-kun, so we hold each other's birthday parties, but when it was my birthday party Aiba-kun appeared with a bouquet of white roses. That was already like a Showa-era star and I was puzzled!
Jun: Normally, we won't buy flowers for guys right?
Aiba: I wonder why. (laugh) Probably, I think it was because I hurried and went into a flower shop.
Sho: But, I was troubled because the other guests had something like a "Aiba-kun is an amazing guy." kind of atmosphere. (laugh)
Jun: The birthday present that I received that has the most impression are jerseys. The one with the super flashy spangles that I received from the 4 of you 2 years ago, and last year, the see-through grid patterned jersey that I received from Aiba-kun. (laugh) *This is the one that Nino borrowed to wear as pyjamas in the Arashi Training Camp!
Nino: It was an almost naked jersey. That being said, for me as well during my birthday, I received a jersey that had the design of bones from Aiba-kun. The basis of choosing that, I don't quite understand. (laugh)
Aiba: Well, it's because it was probably something that I thought you don't usually buy. But, Nino, you haven't even worn that even once didn't you!
Nino: Erm..... It is better to wear it? Wear a jacket with a bone design? (laugh)
Jun: That being said, Nino, what about the shoes that I gave to you as a present?
Nino: That shoe with the feather on it? It's bad if I don't wear it? It's too original so coordination (of clothes with those shoes) is difficult. (laugh)
Aiba: It's okay. It's okay to wear the bones and wear the feathers! (clearly)
Nino: Don't want to. (immediately replied)
Everyone: (laugh)
From the time that they debuted until now, the 5 of them very naturally went to giving birthday presents to each other. That is not a responsibility nor a habit, but it is something that they can mutally be excited over together, and to communicate their words for a short period.
Sho: I don't know about what happens with other groups, but in our case, there are a lot of times where we give souvenirs to each other. During the times for acting as the Tourism Navigator, we were given the chance to go to various different parts of Japan, so everyone bought souvenirs from each place that they went to.... But it was only Ohno-san who didn't buy anything for us! (laugh)
Ohno: .... I did buy something.
Nino: It's tsukemono (Japanese pickled vegetables) isn't it. But you ate it up didn't you. Are there even people who eat up their own souvenirs?!
Ohno: And, I gave them to people who I met first.

Aiba: But Leader, recently, when you went to India you bought for us Gandhi right! Even though I don't think it was ever said that we like Gandhi. (laugh)
Ohno: Un. Everyone had a different Gandhi, I bought different varieties of Gandhi.
Sho: Saying that there are different varieties of Gandhi. (laugh)
Aiba: For me, mine is the one where Gandhi is in the middle of a four cornered frame.
Sho: Ahh, mine is that too.
Ohno: That's wrong. Sho-chan's is the Gandhi with the side view of the face. Aiba-chan's is the Gandhi with the face from the front view. Matsujun's is the one where Gandhi is carved within the glass.
Jun: You can remember all of them.
Ohno: I can. And, for that person (Nino) is a big Gandhi made out of plaster...
Nino: It was a full body Gandhi. (laugh)
Sho: Nino's was a big one.
Ohno: It was the most Gandhi.
Nino: I am the most Gandhi?
Ohno: Un.
Nino: I don't really understand you, but okay. (laugh)
A present is, together with the compatibility with the receipient, is an object that can straightly show the measure of your thoughts towards the person. And that is, the same thing as a "present of words"!
Sho: I wonder what are the words from the members that make you happy.
Nino: I talked about this on television as well, but I received a mail from Sho-chan that read "GANTZ was fun. I'm looking forward to the second part too." and that made me happy. But it's just that, I found out that he hasn't watched the second half yet (laugh)
Sho: But I was really looking forward to it!
Nino: Even though it's already over. (laugh)
Sho: But I wanted to see it.
Nino: The DVD has been released on the 14th of October. (laugh)
Sho: I got it. (laugh) For me, just before I went to Vancouver, I have a deep impression of receiving a mail from Leader that read "Please be careful.". Although there was a picture of Kanjani8's Maruyama wearing trunks at the beach frolicking around attached to the mail. (laugh)
Jun: What kind of message was that?
Ohno: Something that was made for fun, probably. (laugh)
Jun: For me it was this year as well, 1 minute after the change of date to my birthday, I was happy when I received a mail from Leader. It was like at a timing where you would send to the girl that you like, even though the contents were simple but it contained a heart mark. (laugh)
Sho: You like him don't you?
Ohno: Was I the first?
Jun: Nope. There were people who sent me at 12am on the dot. But you were the first amongst the members.
Ohno: ... I'm really happy.
Jun: Did you set an alarm or something?
Ohno: I didn't ~ (t/n: here, instead of saying desu, he said deshu~, like in a cute way. XD)
Aiba: Deshu~ (laugh). But you looked out for it?
Ohno: I looked out for it. I was waiting.
Nino: You were free weren't you? You also send them to Sho-chan, things like "I watched ZERO".
Ohno: Yesterday night as well, while watching, I took a picture of the Sho-chan that was shown on television. Because he looked really good, I wanted to send it.
Sho: I always hear from you that I look good, but for me that isn't the part that I want to communicate. (laugh)
Nino: Erm, what purpose was that mail for? You don't want any reply?
Ohno: I don't really need one. It's just that, when I watch that programme, Sho-kun is still doing his best working, so I should wake up as well, that's what I think.
Jun: It's not that you want to work right. (laugh)
Aiba: It's that you have to work hard to wake up right. (laugh)
Ohno: And after it ends, I do it for a while, then sleep. (laugh)
Aiba: When I was in hospital, although I was really happy from the words that the 4 members sent me, the most number of mails came from Leader. The contents weren't things like encouragement, but it was things like what he did that day, it was normal mail. (laugh) I was happy that he was always looking out for me.

Watching the figure of Arashi thinking of each other while looking like they are having fun, our hearts will always become excited, and be encouraged. The last thing that we hear from them is regarding, from Arashi to everyone, what do they want to give to the people who have been supporting them.
Sho: More than what we want to give to everyone, not matter what we do, there is always the intention of wanting to reach everyone with the feeling of "gratitude" right, un.
Nino: What we want to give, it is probably the part about the 5 of us energetically enjoying what we do. At any rate, it's because "Arashi is 5". The gratitude of the fact that we can do things as 5, I want to convey that stance.
Ohno: I want to show us as we are. The Arashi that is shown on television or on magazines and so on, is without any change, we also show this in concert.
Aiba: And also, together with everyone who is watching, we want to have fun together yea!
Jun: I have those feelings too. The various things that we do, becomes the "colouring" of everyone's daily life. The apperance of us that we convey in concerts, music, televsion, magazines, we hope that because of that, your everyday life becomes more happier, and you would become more energetic, even if it is just by a little bit, and I feel that if you can find something positive, we would be happy.
