Wednesday evening I went into Kerrville, and I was worried the entire drive home because the check engine light in my car was still on and it had difficulty starting. I made it home, and while driving discovered that Ana was also in town and had returned from her Marfa adventure. That night we watched 'Stranger Than Fiction', which made me cry, and I really enjoyed the movie. Thursday and Friday was uneventful, my car was taken to the shop and is now fixed - I took it to this guy, Bill, in Kerrville, and he always talks for hours about whatever is wrong with my car, and I never understand what he's talking about. I went to the doctor on Friday morning, and then decided to go to leave to go back to Georgetown.
When I came home, I discovered that Beta Beta, my fish, had died. It doesn't make sense because he was fine the entire time I was in Nevada, and when I came home on Tuesday night I cleaned his bowl, and he was happy on Wednesday when I left, but I guess he couldn't make it from Wednesday to Friday. Poor fish, I liked having something alive around me, and he had personality. Friday night, I was tired, but I hung out with Liza and we went to Austin to visit the Andrews. Then, we ate at Conan's and decided to come home. I fell asleep early, and on Saturday, we went to Austin again to look for a formal dress for Tri Delt formal. We went shopping all day, and probably went to every dress shop in town, or at least it felt that way. I tried on $1,000 dresses, but ended up getting a cheap dress from Forever 21 that's probably just as cute as the fancy ones. I really wanted a dress from Anthropologie, but I couldn't justify spending so much on something for formal that will probably get something spilled on it and I'm trying to save money for Germany. I came back and hung out with Eric before going to bed. It was a sober St. Patrick's Day, which was probably a good idea. John came in my room at 4 a.m. for unknown reasons, I think just to say 'hello', but he hung out until 5 and then left. He told me stories about going to New Orleans for his 21st and about getting a gun pulled on him, it was entertaining.
Everyone was back on campus Sunday night, and I hung out with the neighbors for awhile and procrastinated. I have a paper due tomorrow morning, so I'll probably be in the library for most of the night.
This week is going to be crazy; It's Delta Week, Sig pledge party is on Friday, Formal is on Saturday, and my birthday is next Monday.
