Why can't Masquerade be every weekend?
Outfits: Dr. Skin Medicine Woman, Christmas Eve, a Beeeee-atnick, Tom Cruise in Risky Business, and a Deviled-Egg.
Brooks as Wooderson.
Our group going through the rooms. Gender, Race, and Class, along with the Virgin Mary and Chris' hand.
There's more pictures on the facebook as well. Far too many of me wearing not a lot of clothing, but oh well, I really like how my outfit turned out especially since I've never made an entire costume before.
Masquerade was the best party I've ever been to and this weekend was great.
Friday night we had a big dinner party at Will and Jerrad's since Brooks was in town. We also hung out at the house a lot, and it was just a really fun night. Saturday, most of the day was spent laying around and then getting ready for the party. Sunday, Brooks went to go visit his parents, so I got a little homework done, and then hung out with him at night. It was so good having him in town and he makes me happy every time he visits. He left Monday morning, and I spent most of the day Monday doing nothing.
I hate school right now and I hate the fact that no matter how much time I spend on a paper, how much I talk in class, how much I understand the topic... I always get the same grades on all my papers. I'm very frustrated and I don't know what to take next semester. At least everyone else around me seems to have similar or worse issues with school, so I guess we're all just going through the sophomore-slump, but I wish it was over already. I feel like there's so many more classes to take, but none of the ones being offered right now either fit my schedule or seem incredibly uninteresting. I also hate giving time to activities that I believe don't matter when I am worried about other things, and on top of that, having to go into work and do all of my school work. I think things will get better after this week and when Homecoming is over, or at least I hope they will.
But... this weekend was a nice distraction, so that helps a little bit.
In other news, I got an internship at the Capital next semester. I don't find out what office/representative I am working for until after the election, but I will be spending Tuesday and Thursdays in Austin all Spring.
