Oh show, don't you ever leave me again! What a fantastic start to season two! I loved the fallout from Trevor revealing Mike's secret - I'd been thinking that they'd find a way out of it or that maybe Trevor didn't really tell Jessica but I actually really liked that he did tell her and Mike and Harvey had to deal with the fact that she knew.
I loved the Mike and Harvey stuff - I really love their relationship - I loved all the things that Harvey did to keep Mike at the firm (even if Mike didn't realise everything he'd been doing and how hard he'd been fighting for him). I especially loved it at the end when he told Jessica that he knew when he hired Mike that he didn't really go to Harvard and then used the fact that Hardman was returning to practically blackmail her into letting them both stay. Jessica needs him on her side and he wasn't gonna stay unless Mike did. There's no way Harvey can pretend he doesn't care now! We all know better. It's just a shame that Mike didn't hear anything Harvey had said.
Great scenes between Harvey and Donna too - I loved it when she referenced Harvey's brother and made the connection between Harvey's brother and Mike. That was really interesting. And, of course, she she realised that Harvey hadn't fired Mike even though Jessica had told him to - it was like he was going to but then he saw Mike sitting there and just couldn't do it. Awww.
I loved it when Mike found out (via Jenny) that Jessica knew and Harvey knew that she knew - the scene between Mike and Harvey in Harvey's office was brilliant. Patrick J Adams and Gabriel Macht play off of each other so well. We'd seen them do it with the lighthearted fun stuff but it was great seeing it in a more serious scene. Their chemistry is amazing and actually seems to have got better since last season.
So, Hardman is back and shit's gonna go down. Sounds very interesting. With Jessica knowing about Mike now this looks like the main storyline for the season. I'm looking forward to finding out how it's all gonna play out.
With Mike and Jenny over (for now) and Mike and Trevor's friendship truly over (for now) all Mike has is his Grandma and the firm. Interesting insight into what happens to Mike parents too, I've always wondered about that so it's good that we got some mentions in this episode. I wonder if we'll find out more? From what Mike said it seemed like it could lead to more mentions in the future.
I can't wait til next week! This show is so good it makes me wanna cry, in a really good way! I love it.
Before watching "Suits" I suffered through another England football match! Wow, Sweden/England was awesome but at the same time hard to watch! I think when the final whistle went I let out deep breath and was like "and breathe". We definitely made hard work of beating Sweden (who are now officially out of the competition with one game left to play) so I can't see us doing much against decent opposition if we even get past Ukraine who, of course, have the home advantage. We definitely played better when Walcott came on so maybe he should be on from the start next time?
I also watched Ukraine/France. Couldn't believe the weather they had there! Unbelievable scenes when they had to suspend the game for almost an hour. At least it got played in the end and France managed a comfortable victory in the end.
