Tell us from the start, don't be boring.

I enjoyed "Sherlock" - 2x01 - last night. Loved Sherlock and Watson together as usual - their relationship is so complicated and even though Sherlock can be a bit of an arse hat you can't help but love him. I think a lot of that is down to Benedict Cumberbatch though as I think he's just so likable. Martin Freeman is likable in anything too!

The case was interesting and it was nice to see Sherlock quite taken with the woman - even though he didn't really know what to do about it. Loved the little scene between him and Molly too - it was obvious the present was for Sherlock (even Watson could see it) and I felt sorry for her when he was mean to her about it. Nice to see him apologise afterwards though. I think Watson was surprised about that.

Oh, and the scene with the deer stalker hat made me laugh.

I'm still not entirely sure about the casting of Moriarty - the actor just seems terribly miscast to me. I do get that they're trying to do something different with him though and maybe he'll grow on me.

As I believe I said previously while I do like this show I think I would like it more if it was six 45mins/hour episodes instead of three 90 minute ones. Especially when we have to wait so long between series' and I do find that the 90 minute episode seem to drag sometimes.

Then today Jo and Vicky came over and we watched some "Supernatural" season 7 (which I've been downloading but didn't want to watch without them). We ended up watching seven episodes which was pretty good going! We're gonna try and get together again soon to watch some more.

I really enjoyed the episodes watched - 7x01 "Meet The New Boss" was a good season opener and 7x02 "Hello, Cruel World" was a good continuation of that story. I felt really sorry for Castiel when he realised the mistakes he'd made. His intentions were always in the right place but he didn't realise it until it was too late. I also felt really sorry for Dean when he realised what had happened. Is this really the last we're gonna see of Castiel? Nice to see Sheriff Mills back too. And Mark Pellegrino who was great as Lucifer inside Sam's head.

7x03 "The Girl Next Door" was good too - it was nice to see a case from their past come back especially one related to Sam thing time (and it's always nice to see Colin Ford as young Sam. He's really grown up and is starting to look like Jared Padalecki now). Interesting story with Sam letting the woman go but Dean going to get her anyway even though he pretty much promised Sam he wouldn't. Nice to see that continuing through the other episodes too. Nice to see Jewel Staite make an appearance too. Oh, and her character was called Amy Pond!

I really liked 7x04 "Defending Your Life" - especially the way the demon thing didn't make the decision about the person guilt but made them make it for themselves. It was a nice simple character driven story and it was nice seeing that Dean pretty much feels guilty for everything that ever happens. I think we've always known that about Dean but it was nice to see it in an episode. Nice to see Jo make an appearance again too even though her death wasn't Deans fault.

7x05 "Shut Up, Dr Phil" was a good fun episode - love the appearance of both James Marsters (while I did think "Hi Spike" at first, every time I looked at him I saw the guy who killed Steve McGarrett's dad!) and Charisma Carpenter and their storyline was really fun. Nice to see Sam trying to talk to Dean about his feelings too. I can't think of much else to say about the episode but I did enjoy it.

7x06 "Slash Fiction" was cool too - with the Leviathans (like the introduction of that storyline too. I didn't see that coming and it's nice to have new bad guys every now and then) duplicating Sam and Dean so they could go on a crime spree (as Jo said, it was like Evil Bill and Ted). Jared and Jensen played their bad versions really well and I liked the two FBI Agents that were on the case (interesting twist that one was bad all along). Oh, and washing detergent is the only thing that seemed to work on the Leviathans. Or at least stop them for a while. I thought that was fun considering Bobby had tried everything he could think of and they didn't work and then Sheriff Mills accidentally managed to figure things out. Like her interactions with Bobby, btw. nice "Pulp Fiction" reference too. Oh, and Sam found out about Deans deception and walked off (again!) saying they couldn't work together anymore. I felt sorry for Dean even though he did it for the right reasons. Or what he though was right anyway.

Oh, loved them driving that little car and Dean miming along to that song! Hahaha!

7x07 "The Mentalists" featured Sam and Dean working seperately briefly before teaming up to save the day again. I liked this episode again for it's simple angry ghost storyline. Sometimes the simple stories are better than the epic ones. I liked the stuff between Dean and the girl psychic too and it was nice to see Sam and Dean friends again. For now anyway.

And that's where we left it until next time. I have to say that, so far, I'm really enjoying this season. Seems likes it's gone back to the simplistic storylines from seasons 1 and 2 but still with a bit of the ongoing story thrown in. Looking forward to watching more.

Last night I also rewatched "Hawaii Five-0" - 2x01. Still good. Interesting to watch it again knowing what's happened since.

In non TV related news (ha, what's that?), I go back to work tomorrow after the festive break. It's gone fast (although it feels like ages since I was last at work - well, it was last year!). Back to reality, I guess.
