Less talking. More watching.

So everyone at work thought my elf costume (which actually consisted of white and red striped tights, some green shorts, a green T-shirt underneath a red cardigan, with an elf hat and some elf shoes) was amazing - I think deep down they think I'm a bit mental though. A few parents told me they liked it, and some took some pictures. Weirdly enough only one of the children actually said anything.

The first thing the women at work said was "you didn't walk here like that, did you?". Although I was tempted to, I didn't. It turns out that although I have the guts to wear it all morning at work I don't have the guts to wear it on the way there. Or the way home. Actually I was all set to wak home wearing it (although not the elf shoes because they're not outdoor shoes) but I looked out of the window and it was raining so I just took the shorts off and put my jeans over the tights (most uncomfortable thing ever). Once I got out it wasn't raining anymore though. Plus, my iPod batteries ran out on the way to work - if I'd had music with me I would probably have worn it home, with the iPod on I can't hear what (if anything) anyone could have been saying.

Maybe next year I'll be brave enough to walk to work dressed up.

Work's going out for our Christmas meal tonight - should be nice but means I'll miss the "Bones" rerun.

In other news: "Heroes" was good last night - while I can't think of too much to actually say about it seemed like one that you'd need to see. You know, it wouldn't be an episode you'd be okay missing because a lot of  important stuff happened between Hiro (bless 'im) and Claire. Not to mention Peter and his father. And Sylar.  Anyway, a good episode which leads us nicely to next weeks (on Monday night, btw) episode that ends volume 3 and promises something major. I think it's a bit odd that volume four starts in the middle of season three though. What's that about? Can I blame the strike? Please?

Speaking of blaming the strike - "Medium" season four ended last night and while the episode was good enough (although it didn't feel like a finale at all) nothing's really happened this season. It always seemed like it was gonna go somewhere but it didn't actually get there (I blame the strike because we only got 16 episodes). And it actually seemed to end by resetting practically the whole show - with Allison back working for Devalos, who is in turn back as the District Attorney and Joe with a new job. It's gonna be almost like season for never happened. Maybe they didn't want to attempt a proper story arc knowing that the strike was coming and they wouldn't be able to finish it? As w ahole the season seemed a bit samey - which was how season three started out but then it did some different and really great things.

As far as I know there is a season five so hopefully it can be back to business as usual for it.
