It's been super long since my previous post - I kinda promised myself that I would at least try and post once a month but that hasn't even been happening.
Since my previous post the football season has no finished - and Spurs' Wembley adventure is over (unless something unforeseen happens with the new stadium). I'm kinda sad about it, to be honest, because it gave me the opportunity to go to some games which I really enjoyed. I went to five Premier League games in all (plus one Carabao Cup one) - although I'm almost sad I didn't go to more - and they won them all! (v Bournemouth, Stoke, Huddesfield, Watford and the eventful last game against Leicester). I would love to be able to go to some at the new stadium but I don't know what ticket availablility will be like.
Anyway, the season is over and Spurs finished third (best team outside Manchester!) which I think is something the team should be proud of having played all the games kind of away from home. Hopefully they can build on that for the next one.
It's now crazy season - aka the transfer window, where every half decent player seems to be linked to almost every club for obscene amounts of money - and the World Cup starts soon!! The World Cup is one of my favourite things and I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm not gonna get too optimistic about England (that will only end in tears. Again) but I do like the look of this young squad. Maybe not for this tournament but building for the next one (or two). Here's hoping for some good games.
Since my previous posts almost all of my shows have also finished - "Supergirl" is still on but everything else has finished (and some even for good which is sad). I've enjoyed most of my shows this season - although I found "Arrow" had to get through at times, I'm way behind on "Supernatural" and "Designated Survivor" (which is cancelled so there's no hurry to catch up on that one) and I think I've given up on "Riverdale" which is kind of a shame as I enjoyed season 1. I just got way behind and I don't really miss it. I need to see if I can find some summer shows now.
Also, in other news: a few weeks ago I was sitting in the back room when Alf came running in from the kitchen, I'm not sure what happened but he was fast, he hit the laminate floor and slid into one of the kitchen cupboards. He was really dazed and his nose was bleeding a bit (he had a cut on his nose too but he was bleeding from his nostril) - to say I was worried is an understatement, I even called the vet, the receptionist just told me "we've got no appointments" when I told them what had happened so that was helpful. Anyway, we just monitored him for a couple of days and he was fine. He had a swollen nose for a couple of days and he has a little scar on it now from the cut that was caused by the impact I guess. I'm just relieved he's okay.
I will try and post more regularly. Promise.
