I headed to the cinema after work today (and used my Nectar points!) where I saw "Terminator Genisys". I know the reviews haven't been that favourable but I wanted to see it anyway
( Read more... )
I never listen to reviews these days - there's been loads of films I've watched and really enjoyed that have had bad reviews across the board. They don't really mean anything anymore.
I liked what they decided to do with Genisys and for the most part I think it worked. I can't really see Arnold doing another one. If they do another - I read somewhere that they greenlit another 2 before this one even came out but they might not make them if this one doesn't do well. Like you said, they left enough threads to make another one.
I like Jai Courtney too - he's very watchable and I think he's good at what he does (well, what I've seen him do anyway). I've see the first Divergent but not the sequels yet.
As I said I've never seen the U.N.C.L.E TV show but thought the trailer looked quite good.
I'd never heard of Self/Less before today - I think Ryan Reynolds can be okay in the right film but I don't know if this is gonna be that film. I probably wouldn't pay to see it at the cinema.
I might be tempted to see Fantastic Four but I liked the original - especially Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. I am interested to see what they do with this reboot though.
I think the new MI looks quite good - and Simon Pegg was in the trailer a lot. I think I might need to catch up, I definitely haven't seen the 3rd one. Is this one the 4th or 5th?
I was really interested in Ant-Man when it was Edgar Wright, and then even more interested when Paul Rudd joined. I'm a bit disappointed Edgar isn't directing anymore but could still be tempted to see it for Paul Rudd.
I've seen this weeks Teen Wolf now - will post about it tomorrow!
This will be the 5th MI movie. Last one was Ghost Protocol. It was actually a question at a pub quiz I was at recently and I got it wrong! I was mortified. I'm the 'movie girl' for our team. LOL
I too loved Evans as Johnny Storm. He was the best part of those movies for me.
All of the gossip around Ant Man said the script was shit so we'll have to see. I'm game anyway. Not much else for the month to be released I don't think.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this week's TW episode! :)

Chris Evans was the best part of those movies. I did like Ioan Gruffudd too.
Oh really? I guess we'll have to see. Paul Rudd is always watchable though.
I'm gonna go and post my TW thoughts now.
