What the frack?

I was feeling bit nostalgic earlier while looking through my "fangirl pics" folder on facebook. They go back to 2002 and there's some great memories there (it's always interesting seeing how different my hair looked back then!).

In TV news: I've been watching a few shows this week:

"Castle" - 7x20 - when I read the synopsis about this episode I got quite excited and thought it sounded really good. Unfortunately I thought the episode itself was quite a let down - I really wanted the explanation into Castle's missing time to be really good but it just wasn't. In fact I'm not even sure that it made any sense. Maybe there's more to come? I actually think this season has been quite disappointing and with only a handful of episodes left now it might be too late to save it. Is season 8 a go? I think it might be time to call it a day.
"NCIS: Los Angeles" - 6x21 - I thought this episode was okay but, if I'm honest, I'm a bit sick of the Callen mystery and don't really want to deal with more episodes about it. I did like that the Deeks internal affairs storyline got a mention again because I just really want a Deeks storyline and if they're giving us little bits of it now then we must be due a pretty sizeable storyline soon. I hope I'm right as we've been waiting way too long now.
"The Following" - 3x09 - I'm not really sure where this show is going at the moment and it all seems a little bit unfocused to me. I hope things become clear soon. I did like the stuff about that laptop in this episode as I was hoping that would come into play sooner or later. I think that dude really messed up keeping it so I'm interested in seeing where things might go from here regarding it.
"Elementary" - 3x18 - I fell asleep through this episode and haven't had chance to catch up yet. What I did see was pretty good though and will try and catch up soon (until writing this I'd completely forgotten that I hadn't watched the rest of it yet).
"The 100 - 2x16 (season finale) - I thought this was a pretty good season finale but, as with last seasons finale, I didn't really get it. I'm not sure what the stuff at the end with that hologram woman (and that place Murphy found) was all about but I guess there needed to be something for next season to build on (or something). I felt quite sorry for Clarke and Bellamy when they had to do what they did to save their people and I liked the whole theme that there are no good guys or bad guys in war. There are only people doing what they have to do to get the result they want. I thought the scene of Clarke and Bellamy at the end was quite sad. I wonder what she's gonna do now? Where's she gonna go? On a whole I think this season has been pretty good and I'm interested in seeing what they do next time.
"The Night Shift" - 2x10 - I thought this was quite a good episode again but even though I enjoy this show when I'm watching it I can never think of anything to actually say about it. One thing that does annoy me though is when they promise their patients (and their patients family) that everything is gonna be okay. There's no way they know that and they shouldn't make promises that they might not be able to keep. The first time it happened (I think it was Jordan?) I thought that the patient was gonna die and there was gonna be some fall out of that promise she made to the family. I was almost disappointed that there wasn't. I still think this show is a summer show. It belongs on my screen in July. I think they should move it back there.
"Grimm" - 4x13 - I thought this episode was pretty good. I liked the case of the week and how it related to a previous case (kinda). I think some more flashbacks would have been nice because I didn't really remember that guy that well. I did like the stuff about Monroe because of that too - I thought that was quite good and I liked that Rosalee managed to talk him around. I'm very glad Juliette told (well, showed) Nick what's been going on with her. I wonder how he's gonna react to the news? Hopefully they can talk things through together now.
"Bates Motel" - 3x04 - I thought this episode was quite good but I don't think it was quite as good as the previous few. Norman is definitely coming apart now and Norma just doesn't know what to do about it. She doesn't trust him anymore and has no idea what he's capable of but doesn't know what to do. I like the way they're showing the change in Norman. I thought the stuff with Dylan was okay but what's Norman gonna do now he knows? And what is on that USB thing? Will Norma be able to find out? Will she have to show Romero?

The Flash 1x19

I thought this episode was another good one - the metahuman of the week storyline was quite a good one (the shapeshifter thing reminded me of "The X Files" and "Supernatural") and I liked how he shifted into some of the main characters along the way. The way he framed Eddie was cool but I especially liked how that led to some great scenes between Eddie and Barry. They're pretty good together and I love to see more of their dynamic as the show continues. The shifter becoming Barry was fun too and I was glad he didn't have Barry's powers too. The scenes between Caitlin and fake!Barry were pretty fun too and I liked her reactions to it, especially when she knew it! Lol! That was cute.

I also liked how Caitlin was reluctant to believe that Harrison Wells really was this bad guy who'd killed Barry's Mum. He'd supported her so much that she couldn't believe he isn't the person she trusts so much. I liked that this storyline had someone like that in it. It was weird that they managed to stumble upon the Reverse Flash's lair so easily but the scene was good and I'm looking forward to what they're gonna do next, especially as they now know that Harrison Wells isn't really Harrison Wells.

I thought the scenes in Starling City between Joe, Lance, Cisco and Laurel were good. I liked the way Joe and Lance opened up about their respective child issues - especially when Lance said that Laurel had lied to him about something massive and he couldn't come back from it. Some nice parallels there. Cisco and Laurel were great together too and I'd like to see some more of that in the future.

Incidentally, what did happen to Joe's wife? Did she die?
