They treat us like we're extras in an epic

World Cup: So the four semi finalists have been decided and they are Brazil, Germany, Netherlands and Argentina. All a bit predictable really, isn't it? With all the sort of surprises we had earlier on in the competition things seem to have evened out a bit now with exactly who everyone expected getting to the semis. Been a great ride.

I think I'd like either Netherlands (because they've never won it before) or Germany (not sure why but I kinda like them) to win now. I don't Brazil or Argentina have played that great, to be honest. Brazil were brutal against Colombia and basically tried to kick James Rodriguez off the field all match. Oh and the referee was terrible! Shame Colombia kinda went down to Brazil's level and played the same kind of game in the end. Shame to see Colombia not progress any further as I liked them. I hope Rodriguez holds on to the top of the top goal scorer list. I'd love to see him get the golden boot.

And Costa Rica fought right until the end and made Netherlands really work for their victory last night. While I do like Netherlands I really wanted Costa Rica to win this one - just to have an unlikely country in the semi finals. Shame they couldn't do it but they really showed us what they are capable of and were the story of the World Cup of 2014. They can be proud.

I was pleased Germany beat France but I wanted Belgium to defeat Argentina - I think Argentina deserved it though.

Hoping for Netherlands/Germany final!

Incidentally, I just painted my nails to represent the semi finals - I posted a picture on my instagram.

Also, on Wednesday night I watched the finale of "Grimm" season 3 - I thought it was a good episode and I'm interested in seeing where season 4 can go from here. Is Nick losing his Grimm powers really a bad thing? Especially for his relationship with Juliette.

And what about Renard? He's in danger this time. And Wu has seen those Grimm books now, maybe he'll realise that he wasn't crazy after all.

All in all, I've enjoyed this season but I wish Trubel had been introduced earlier because I think the Adalind storyline in the first half of the season was pretty boring and think Trubel is a really interesting character. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her, and more of her interaction with Nick.

In other news: One more week til Wolf's Bane 2! How did that happen? I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It'll be the first time I've been to a stay over night convention by myself (last nights Wolf's Bane was close enough that I could come home at the end of the evening). I also only have one more week left at work. I'm getting ready to say goodbye to some lovely children.
