The first two knock out games were pretty awesome last night. The Brazil/Chile one was epic! I really thought Chile might get it at one point but when they hit the bar in the last minute of extra time I think just wasn't gonna be their day. They played so well though and definitely proved themselves as a team worth watching. And after Colombia's win against Uruguay (I don't think they were ever gonna win without Suarez) the first quarter final is Brazil and Colombia. That could be something special.

James Rodriguez is a great player and his first goal in that Colombia/Uruguay game was amazing! Such a great goal! A definite contender for the goal of the tournament.

I'm looking forward to tonights games (Netherlands/Mexico, Costa Rica/Greece) - given the way this tournaments been going I don't think I could even call who might win these games. I'm loving this World Cup!

In other news: I read an article yesterday about the movie "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" being 25 years old now. What? I remember seeing that at the cinema back in the day! I haven't seen it in a while and after reading that article I really felt like watching it so I ordered it on Amazon. It arrived this morning so I might watch it a bit later.

Last night I watched the season finale of "Star-Crossed" - 1x13 - as season finales go it was pretty epic but as a last-one-ever it ended it a way that made me shout "you can't end it there!!" at the screen. Are all the humans dead? Did the Trag's win? I want to know these things! I can only assume that they thought season 2 was gonna happen. All in all, I've quite enjoyed this show. I don't think I'll necessarily miss it but I think I might miss what it could have been. I think right from the beginning of the season it was always gonna have a short lifespan. It's a bit disappointing that we'll never know what happened to all of the characters though.
