Castle 6x22
This episode finally focused on - and seemed to conclude - the ongoing storyline of the murder of Beckett's murder. I thought it was a good episode but it really needed some more build up. We should have had a couple more episodes about it instead of the last couple of fillers. It was a good episode but it would have been really good with more of a build up.
I'm glad Beckett got the closure she'd been looking for and Bracken finally got what he deserved. It was crazy to think that the evidence was right in front of her the whole time! I liked that Ryan, Esposito and even the chief, were working together to clear her name and help her prove it once and for all.
With this episode being the penultimate one and seeming as finale like as it did I can't help but wonder if next weeks finale might be a bit disappointing?
WH13 5x04
This episode was pretty bizarre and silly - even by Warehouse 13 standards - but for the most part I think it worked.
The Claudia and Jinks case was pretty fun and I liked it when Jinks split into two parts of his character. I liked it when she kept calling them "Steves". Lol! Silly but I think it worked.
The Myka and Pete case was fun too - it almost went too far but I think it just about reigned it in and I especially liked all the talk about how Kelly's grandmother was so upset because her favourite show got cancelled. Seemed fitting as this in the last season which, I'm sure is exactly what they were aiming for.
I thought the scenes between Pete and Kelly were quite good too - and I loved the bit when she told him things would never have worked out between them because he's in love with Myka. His reaction was brilliant! Lol! I wonder if anything will happen between them before the end of the season, and series?
I can't believe there's only two episodes left now. Ever. TV won't be the same without it :(
24LAD 9x01, 9x02
So 24 has returned! I had actually forgotten how vague the first episodes of a season of this show can be and when I started on 9x01 and things were already happening I though I'd started watching the second episode by mistake! It was awesome to have it back on my screen though and it doesn't seem like they've changed very much, production wise, which I actually think is pretty good (although some people might argue that it might be a bit dated seeing as four years have past in TV land). Although I wasn't sure about the new font for the time clock though - there was nothing wrong with the original one.
I thought the storyline seemed good so far. I liked Jack getting himself caught on purpose so he could grab Chloe - I was all pleased that he'd done to rescue her but then it turned out he needed her for information. I was slightly disappointed by that but generally I really liked the Jack and Chloe scenes. I've always been a really big fan of their friendship and even though it's strained now (she did go to jail because of him after all) they still have that connection and I liked the moment when he told Jack he could have just asked for her help because they were friends. And when she told him he couldn't go in there blind and that she was gonna help him. I'm looking forward to seeing more of their friendship as the day goes on.
I like the introduction to Kate Morgan was good and I quite like her character already - I liked it when she was right about Jack being caught on purpose to break someone out and was kind of annoyed on her behalf because no-one believed her. I wonder if she's gonna end up being an ally to Jack as the day goes on?
So Jack's found some intel about the threat to President Heller? Where did he get that from? I guess he's working underground now so knows people who know things. Like that dude he's working with (or who's working for him), I guess. I thought the President Heller stuff was okay - but I don't think he's quite as likeable as he could have been. And Audrey is still annoying. I hope they do anything romantic with her and Jack. She's married anyway, isn't she? To Heller's Chief of Staff. Speaking of the Chief of Staff. I thought the scene when he was proving to the president that going to that meeting with the British Prime Minister was a bad idea was pretty intense and I actually agreed with him because if that had happened in from of the Prime Minister and all those other important people they would have crucified him. It would have been a bad thing.
I liked the idea that they all think that the US military guy was responsible for the attack on those people in Afghanistan but really it's that British woman. Is she this season's big bad or is she working for someone bigger?
I also thought London looked suitably gritty - I was glad that didn't put a shine on it or try and glam it up. I didn't love Stephen Fry as the Prime Minister though. Didn't really work for me and almost kinda pulled me out of the scene. I wonder if he'll be in it much more?
Now I wonder who's gonna be the mole? There's gotta be one, right? This is 24!
