Who 7x11
Hmm, I'm not sure what I thought of this episode - since this show has returned for the second part of series 7 I just haven't really been feeling it. I'm not sure why because I don't really think the episodes have been bad.
In this episode I quite liked that we saw Strax, Jenny and Madame Vastra again (can you believe I actually had to look up their names and even when I saw them they didn't seem familiar at all) as they were pretty cool the last time we saw them and it was especially good to see them wanting explanations about Clara especially considering the last time they saw her she died. I'm very intrigued by the Clara storyline that's running through this show at the moment and it was very good in this episode especially when the children Clara nannies for found those pictures on the internet (I guess?) and questioned her about it which then lead to her seeing the picture from Victorian London which wasn't her (or was it?) and then she realised why the Doctor wanted to take her to London in the first place. I want to know what her deal is.
While I'm enjoying the Clara stuff the other part of this episode wasn't that appealing to me - it was cool seeing Diana Rigg in the show but I think she's better than material like this but I did like the stuff between the Doctor and Ada, I liked the connection they'd made. I thought that was done really well and Matt Smith had good chemistry with Rachael Stirling.
So yeah, mixed feelings on this episode and the second part of this series generally. Not really looking forward to next weeks either, bored with the Cyber Men and is it really a good idea to take children along for the ride? Come on, Clara!
Then last night I watched "Being Human USA" - 1x04 - enjoying this show at the moment and I think I've fallen in love with Sam Huntington's werewolf Josh. He's so adorable and I liked his interactions with his new wolf friend in last nights episode (I think I vaguely remember the similar storyline in the UK version) but I hope this new side of Josh isn't gonna be permanent because that's just not who he is. I think his new wolf friend needs to leave. I wondering if that female nurse was gonna be a new love interest for Josh but then he decided to try out the wolf method of chatting her up with disastrous results. I was willing him to just stop talking! I thought the Sally stuff was interesting too and I liked the storyline about her fiance and her best friend. It was nice that she gave them her blessing in the end.
