PNW 1x12
What? You can't end the episode like that! It could be worse I suppose, at least it's not the season finale (yet) and we'll find out what happens next week (hopefully).
I thought it was a really good episode this week - much better than last weeks talky episode. I'm still not entirely sure who the good guys are but the other stuff we got in this episode was good. I really liked that they had to go through the anomaly so they could (hopefully) save Toby - it was interesting that they ended up in an anomaly spaghetti junction of sorts (the same as what happened in original “Primeval”) and had to go through a few of them. I liked that one of the anomalies led to an earlier version of Cross Photonics, a version where Evan could have saved Brooke. Although if he had decided to do that it would have been a massive paradox. I wonder if he'll get the chance again? Some great Evan and Dylan scenes as well. I really like Dylan as a character.
Can Leeds be trusted? What is Ange up to and can she convince Toby to help her (if she surives)? I think maybe Ange is putting her trust in the wrong guy and maybe the other military dude actually wants the power of the anomalies for something else.
I didn't think some scenes this week were quite as good as they should have been - for example Dylan getting stuck in that whole and Evan coming back to save her, after deciding not to save Brooke. The idea of that was really cool but I didn't think the execution was that good. I did, however, like the scene when Evan and Dylan were cut off and he told her to go and try and save Toby and come back for him later. At first I thought we were gonna get a really emotional scene between them but actually think it worked better the way they did it. Dylan isn't an emotional person so it wouldn't have been right if she'd be all upset about it. She had a job to do and she was gonna do it, dammit! Love that about her.
The Toby stuff was good - and I liked that Mac accompanied her to the hospital. I also thought it was cool how she was trying to figure out the mixed readings she was getting from the anomaly detector (I'm assuming that's because of all the other anomalies too?). I'm not quite sure how she managed to get hurt by the giant scorpion though. Oh, and it was cool that she'd found some information about the ARC patch on Future!Mac's uniform. I really like that that storyline is connected to “Primeval”. Incidentally, I thought Connor was gonna be in this episode, I guess that's next weeks.
I always find it difficult to comment on two-part stories but I really enjoyed this and I can't wait for next weeks finale. I can't believe it's almost over.

I really enjoyed this episode - it reminded me of earlier seasons which is definitely a good thing. Maybe it was the fact that it was about hellhounds but it had a real season 3 vibe to me.
I loved the beginning when Dean finally had a bedroom of his own and he could decorate it exactly as he wanted it. It was his own space. He had his record and his weapons. It was awesome. And he seemed so happy. Awww. I also loved the scenes between Sam and Dean - it was almost back to the way things used to be. Dean trying his hardest to protect Sam just like he used to. The scene when Dean told Sam he'd be the one to try and complete the trials knowing it could be a suicide mission but content in the fact that he could die as long as Sam lived and could go on to live a normal life. Dean has so much self hatred it makes me so sad. He's more than just a grunt, he's just as important as everyone he tries to save. I wish he knew that. I loved the scene at the end when Sam told him how important he is and that he believes in him. And he wants Dean to believe in him. Dean's always been the one protecting Sam but maybe it's time it was the other way around. Now Sam's completed the first trial and wants to complete the rest. His way. I wonder exactly what's gonna happen to him when once he does? The scene after he said the spell makes me worried for him. Can this really end well?
It was good to see Kevin again and good to finally have some way to close the gates of hell. Know they know how to do that they've got a plan. This season has a plan and I think it could be pretty good. I'm looking forward to what might happen next. Great scene when Dean hugged Kevin too. Lol!
I thought the storyline of the Cassity's was really interesting and it was fun trying to figure out who'd made the deal. I was a bit mad and Sam and Dean for leaving the first victim alone though. Surely one of them could have stayed with him just in case. Thought it was cool that there were loads of deals made ten years ago. And it was Crowley himself that did them, interesting. I wonder if that means anything in the ongoing storyline?
This episode seemed like old school "Supernatural", I wonder if it'll say like this now?
