Can't think of a Deeks quote for this post
So last nights TV viewing was pretty good.
First up was NCIS: LA
Thought this episode was pretty good. I enjoyed the team teasing Sam because of his geekiness (or fanboy status) and him denying it. Loved Eric stating that there's nothing wrong with being a geek! It's true, of course, but then he would say that, wouldn't he? I also liked that Nell had actually been watching the football DVD gift that Eric got her. I really like these two together.
There were, of course, some great Deeks and Kensi moment as usual - with the banter and teasing. I loved him getting all flustered about her undoing her shirt buttons and letting her hair down. He's cute when he does that and Kensi obviously thinks so to other wise she wouldn't keep doing things like that.
I thought the case was pretty interesting and it was good how it all tied into a previous case Hetty and Granger were involved in. Like Callen said, Fatima wasn't always like this, they made her that way. It was nice to see some kind of fallout from their job and things they've had to do.
Still waiting for that Deeks-centric episode. Come on, show!
After that I watched "Perception" - 1x09 - absolutely blinding first part to the finale! As soon as Pierce kissed Moretti I knew something wasn't right and that maybe it was all in his head. What would have happened in Lewicki hadn't come back when he did. I think it's time for Pierce to accept what's wrong with him and take that medication - even if it does mean that he won't see Natalie anymore (I wonder who she actually is to him? Why seeing her helps him?). I'm glad that he made the choice to check himself into the hospital again. Obviously he needs some help. Interesting that the case maybe isn't quite as imaginary as Moretti thinks though - after finding that video at the end. I'm looking forward to next weeks season finale. The worst thing about summer shows is how short they are!
Btw, Eric McCormack was brilliant in this episode.
After that I watched "Chicago Fire" - 1x06 - thought this episode was pretty good and I'm pleased to see the end of the Voight/Casey storyline (I'm hoping it's the end). I don't think it was a great story arc for Casey so I'm glad it's over. They wrapped up the Dawson storyline fairly quickly too. I think I might want to ship her and Casey even though he has a girlfriend/fiance. She's clearly totally smitten and they have pretty good chemistry, I think.
In other news: I ordered some really nice jeans on Uniqlo's website the other day - unfortunately I got an e-mail from them last night saying they had to cancel my order because the items aren't in stock. I hate it when websites have things listed on their site but then when you order them they're out of stock! I'd ordered some dark green skinny jeans and because they are now out of stock I went around the shops today after work to try and find some. Couldn't find any in my size! How disappointing. I'll have to look again next time I'm out. I didn't realise how much I wanted a pair of dark green jeans until Uniqlo told me I couldn't have any.
Also, have you seen these promo pictures for "Hawaii Five-0" 3x10? The episode looks so much fun! I can't wait!
