Watched another episode of "Smash" last night - 1x03 - thought it was okay. Might start watching it weekly from next Monday (the day it airs).

After that I watched "A Gifted Man" - 1x05 - quite enjoyed it again. I find that the episodes are so much better when his dead ex-wife isn't in it very much (like this one and last weeks - I hope that ( Read more... )

Smash is such a guilty pleasure show of mine xD I know it's bad, but I love musicals so much. And Katherine McPhee and Jack Davenport have so much chemistry <3

In the few episodes I've seen it seems like Jack Davenport has good chemistry with everyone.

I thought they might be! I don't think I've seen enough scenes of them together to ship them yet.

the last few episodes are kinda Derek/Karen heavy. But that might be just my imagination, you know me and my I don't ship what the creators want to me to ship - tedencies xD (although I do think D/K is what they have in mind for the show).

The few scenes they had in the episodes I've seen did make me wonder if maybe they were gonna go down that route with them.

From what I gather you tend to ship where the chemistry is - the writers can't force a ship if the chemistry isn't there.

it will be more obvious. there are two scenes that speak for themselves in the second to last (I think) and the last episode.

Yep, that is true. Sadly, the writers do try to force their relationships and sometimes they fail spectacularly (like, let's say, on House MD).

I'll definitely be looking out for them then!

I haven't watched "House" since season 2 so I can't really comment on the ships in it. I could never get into the Peter/Olivia ship on "Fringe" (although I haven't watched that in ages either) because I just didn't think the chemistry was there.
