I have to have surgery on my left eye (my "good" one) on Tuesday. Last week, the doc told me that my left one has started to do what the right one did before the retina detached, and he's preempting the detachment this time in hopes of saving my sight.
I've come to terms with the possibility that Monday might be the last day I see anything semi-normally (or at all) again --I mean at the moment, I'm already classified as legally blind in both eyes-- and just wanted to say that it was nice seeing those of you I did yesterday, and apologize for missing some of you as well.
The surgery itself will hopefully be a lighter one than the previous two I had on my right eye, and I hope thechances of success will be much better because of it. I also hope that because of the lighter surgery, I won't need to spend damn near two weeks lying with my face parallel to the ground, but if it's what I have to do, then I'll do it.

I wonder what sunsets will look like to me in twenty years.

I want yall all to know that although things for me are tough right now, I'm going to be okay.
