(do the whirlwind!)
gahhh it's been kind of a crazy week. monday i went to a (fairly informal) meeting at headquarters where we met a bunch of people from various parts of the park authority and talked to a couple people about website and public outreach stuff. tuesday through friday we were in the field. tuesdaye through thursday we were digging at hidden oaks nature center where we thought we would find absolutely nothing and instead found a fuckton of prehistoric artifacts. they're mostly jokingly referring to it the "aimee & kate site" since we did basically all of the digging and found all of the artifacts up until the last day. actually, all told, it's four separate sites on the same area of land, and they're actually making aimee and i fill out the paperwork for it heheh. additionally, wednesday night we went to the history commission meeting which lasted for over three hours. and friday we were back at the quaker meeting house trying to finish the dig before the heat advisory went into effect. -_-
yesterday gnat and i got coffee at the new place in purcellville and walked around the art fair. we saw a bunch of very cute, tiny little thirteen/fourteen year old skaters trying to get people to sign their petition for getting a skate park in pville. they also spent a lot of time falling off their boards. they actually seemed like very together, reasonable kids in presenting their petition and stuff heheh. i was impressed.
tonight i'm going to see architecture in helsinki, santogold, and black moth super rainbow with gnat and some of her friends. i <3 aih, and i've been listening to the other two bands on myspace, and they sound really cool. santogold actually reminds me a little of mia.
also, i am once again seriously trying to think of a new screenname. i got tired of mine sometime towards the end of senior year of high school, but have never thought of anything better. anyone have any ideas of something that would suit me?
