so as some of you already know, my laptop's wireless connection is broken. i assume it stopped working sometime while i was still at school, but i didn't notice until i actually disconnected it from the goucher network. hopefully i will be able to get it fixed today, but if i can't... then it will be at least one more week before i have internet access again. (i am currently on my dad's computer, being home for the weekend, but after dinner i return to falls church and work and not having internet access.)
camping was good, although it already seems like far more than a week ago. went to west va and hiked dolly sods and seneca rocks. it made me realize how long it had been since i'd really stepped back from/outside of my day-to-day life. camping is always good for getting me to stop worrying about... what happened on the news, how my hair looks, if i've just said something incredibly stupid, have i been spending money recklessly again?, what will i do next semester anyway?, etc.
tuesday i started my internship. so far it's been fun. everyone's a little... disorganized heheh. which makes for an interesting work environment. i really am doing a little bit of everything: retreiving things from other offices, digging, id-ing artifacts, re-tagging and re-bagging artifacts, re-designing the website, and pretty much anything else someonme in the office doesn't want to do. so y'know being an intern....
other than that... i've been reading a lot. and trying to get the hang of driving in fairfax/alexandria. and not much else.
