sneak attack

Well I have to say that my new favorite thing to do in Hawaii is camping on the beach. I had no idea it would be so much fun. At first we were aprehensive to go, because we thought it was a guys small group bonding time, and here comes 4 girls and ollie, and we were ready to camp too. They all told us that they were glad we came, and all in all we made it a lot more fun. When we got there, we had to blow up our inflatable tubes, and that turned out to be one of the best ideas we've ever had. We had so much fun riding the waves all day. That night, we set up camp, and watched the stars, and sang songs, and then we tried to build a fire, but that didn't work so well, and so then sarah and I got in a flashlight battle with andrew and ransom, and that was tons of fun. For about an hour and a half, we were screaming and getting thrown around trying to retreive our flashlights. But we eventually won with our sneak attack method. That night as most people (19 total) were starting to lay down for bed, andrew, sarah, ollie, and I, layed on the beach, and played the laughing game, and it was so much fun.
We went to bed that night at about 2:30, and woke up at around 6:30, and didn't get to much sleep in between, because the sound of the waves was so beautiful and distracting, and then oh yeah it rained in the middle of the night. It wasn't too bad though. It was actually pretty nice. We woke up the next morning and by 7am we were all playing around in the water. Catching the waves on our 2dollar innertubes it was so much fun. Andrew and ransom decided to attack us in the water and steal our tubes. This was an ongoing battle for about 4 hours. Sarah and I got the crap beaten out of us. But it was still a lot of fun, and we got a lot of memories that night. I told sarah at one point when we were laying down, that this is what I imagined my DTS to be. Camping on the beach, hanging out with one another, meeting new people, and just living in God's beauty all day and night. And that weekend, that dream became a reality. I spent time with people that I usually don't, and I think some new friendships got made for sure!
Thank you Jesus for everything that you are doing in my life and showing me. I am so thankful for the person that you are forming me to become. I can't believe that I shannon janelle claypool, am sitting in this place with you. I can't believe all of the things that you are teaching me, and that you are showing me. You really do have plans for my life. Today, you expanded my heart like a helium balloon for kids and youth that have no love in their lives. God I want to be the one that loves those kids. God, use me, train me, and show me what it is to love. I am so thankful for the person that I was, but I am not that same person anymore, you have so many other plans for my life. Thank you for freeing me from bondages, and for showing me that I am first and foremost your daughter that you love.

until next time,
shannon

introductions:
andrew: this kid is absolutley crazy. I have never met someone quite like him, but in a lot of ways, he reminds me of myself, because he is so dang sarcastic. He really loves life, and he is passionate about jesus. He also thinks that he is korean, when really is just a boy from california. I have had fun getting to know him.
