So, living in Canada presents certain challenges when trying to watch Doctor Who. Lets not even get into the fact that we are a season behind the UK ( Don't get me started on how far back we are with Coronation Street here) and won't get to see season 4 until the 19th, nor will I mention the fact that the CBC have slotted it in the death time/night..Fridays are notoriously horrible for keeping fans interested in shows. JPod was a fantastic show that was first aired on Wed. nights wlith decent ratings but then was shuffled off to the firing squad that is Friday night viewing around here... guess where JPod ended up, eh?
They probably won't even show the christmas special and we can pretty much forget about Doctor Who Confidential.
So, I think to myself... self, why don't you just buy all four seasons then you can see the whole shebang? Off I trot to the Wal-Mart... nada... off I trot to Zellers... zilch... aha! I'll check online... only I don't have a credit card, nor do I want one and the price at the CBC store? On Sale? 99.99! Holy crap! AND they only have season 1 & 2. *disgusted sigh* . I'm a little frustrated at this point so I figure.. okay lets check the mall, it'd be cheaper than the friggen CBC . So I go into HMV... guess how much? Go ahead... guess...I dare ya..129.99..thats right One hundred and twenty nine fucking dollars... who can afford that? And why is it so damn expensive? I can buy Supernatural for about 40 -60 bucks depending on the season..I can get House... Grey's Anatomy.... Stargate....... Angel... Buffy at about 19.95 up to about 60 or 70 dollars! Those are prices I can afford.
Maybe its because it has to be imported from the UK? I don't know...
I just want to curl up in a corner and cry now...and yes..I'm overreacting but too bad...I'm bovvered fercryinoutloud!
