Aoko had been up here on a search for a room she could claim for herself; once the zoo had faded back into the mansion, she'd taken the advice she'd been given.

She peeks around the doorway to look inside, having been drawn there by the sounds of someone at work. She smiles, glad to see another female.

Ran is likewise glad to have company -- and female company too. She smiles as she leaves the laundry to stand. "Hello. I do not believe we have met."

"I'm Nakamori Aoko," she says, dipping into a quick, polite bow - she recognises the other girl now she's facing her, though she's sure Kaito would have known her quicker. Obsessed as he is with 'his' detective.

"It's nice to meet you."

"Mouri Ran, of the family Mouri," Ran said, returning the bow. "Servants of Megure-daimyo. It's very nice to see another girl here. I've only seen boys so far."

"...Ran-neechan, what are you doing?" Conan asked.

Ran paused, staring a moment at Conan before collecting herself. She resumes her task before answering his question.

"Morning, Conan-kun. I'm washing."

"Why are you washing by hand? In the bath tub? And why...clothes like that?"

Ran blinked, though she didn't look at Conan, continuing to scrub away at the clothing. "How else do you wash clothes, child? And I wash them because they are all the clothes I have."
