Edogawa Conan. That meant Japan. Odd, but not the strangest thing he'd ever had happen to him.

He blinked solemnly at the boy, not saying anything. Edogawa had never seemed like the type to be involved in what 'normal' people called mythology, so the words surprised him a bit. He wasn't going to do anything that would give the boy any more reason to suspect him.

And have another Edogawa Conan, this one approaching at high speed, clearly very enthused about spotting the mansion's newest guest. He stops just short of the seal, beaming. "Order Carnivora, sub-order Canifomia, super-family pinnipedia from the Latin pinna for wing and ped for foot -- are you phocidae or otariidae? I forget the difference." He frowns thoughtfully at the seal. "I don't remember the mansion having an ocean. Did you just get here?"

And aye, she sings by lily wean ..."
Akako is singing brightly to the seal, with her waving his fin to the rhythm.
"And little ken I by bairn's father,
Far less the land where he dwells in."
She stops to hold the whiskered face in her hands. "You're such a sweet thing aren't you? Aren't you?" She nudges her nose with his.
Yes, she's talking in a rather patronising tone.

So he blinks large dark eyes at her as she sings.
