As it is, he looks to the chart in his hands (pen stored behind his ear for the moment), then down the hall, and then back to the chart before frowning.

Akio wanders up from behind, a still-steaming cup of green tea in his hands.

"Hn... I don't think that's going to work somehow."

Makoto looks up from the map with a fairly wry frown. "And what makes you say that..?" ...

Also, nice hair.

"So far as I know, the lobby downstairs doesn't change all that much. Everything else seems subject to the will of either the Mansion itself... or whatever you want it to be."

He takes a sip of the tea, keeping his eyes on the lookalike.

Crumpling it up into a ball and scowling. "Great- this was pointless then..."

Shrug. "Maybe, maybe not. You might find patterns in the way the halls change around. Maybe certain halls like being in certain areas, for instance... the same with rooms."

...Akio, you're talking as though the place can think. You're probably weirding the kid out.

"Yes, because this place thinks of ways to annoy people..." Don't tempt it.

As it is, you've gotten him curious so... "Who are you anyway?"

"I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as ojii-sama's illusions. At least there's that."

Only a slight bow, since he doesn't want to spill any tea. "Hideyoshi Akio, and you are...?"

Because he knows this is not Kudo Shinichi.

He's quite glad you know that. So you know. "Okuda Makoto..." As he gives a slight bow himself.

And on another note... "...Illusions?"

"Pleased to meet you, Makoto-kun, then." Said with a smile.

"Illusions! Ah, it runs in the family, you could say... although mine aren't actually that strong yet."

"Same." A conversation that doesn't center on his face.

Though seriously, illusions, what? "Nn- like spirits...?"

"Some call kitsune that, yes. But some families live alongside normal humans. Mine have, for at least a couple of generations..."
