I couldn't be prouder!

What can I say ... I love the kid.

Dan is back. He's been here for awhile. I always told him before "I wasn't going to help him if he wasn't helping himself".
Finally I think he has it figured out. I hope it's not just wishful thinking on my part.

I can't keep all of his court dates straight in my head.... I don't know how he does it. This week it was Aberdeen (84 miles away) 2 times and Puyallup once. And he had to be in both courts on thursday. I think he has the Kent court stuff just about handled.
I drove him to Aberdeen sunday night. He stayed with a friend and went to court on monday. He was waiting outside early in the morning and a police officer came out and asked him why he was there. He actually told the officer he was there to quash a warrant, instead of telling him he was just waiting for the court to open. The officer invited him in and promptly arrested him. The judge let him go, against the prosecuting attorneys wishes, with Dans promise that he would be back on thursday when his public defender could be present. I drove back down after work monday and picked him up so that he could make his treatment meeting on tuesday. He has a few more meetings and a few more mandatory hoops to get thru before he starts his 30 days in-treatment.
He has to go back to Aberdeen to spend a day in jail January 12th. He has more fines racked up across 3 counties than I care to think about.

Despite how this sounds he's doing quite well. I think he may actually make it. And that thrills me to no end!
