oh my god. my city is burning up. there are huge fires everywhere... they started out by ramona and julian, and now have come all the way to scripps ranch!!! they're going to cross the I-15 any moment now. 7 people have died and like 20 houses burned, probly more. the flames are anywhere from 40 to 80 feet high, and the santa-ana winds are blowing them all over the place. when i woke up, it smelled like my house was on fire, because of all the soot in the sky. also, the sky is all gray and orange, but only due to the ash and smoke... otherwise it should be a bright blue, sunny day. and our pool is now longer clear, but now has turned black because of all the ash that is settling into it. this is so surreal. whit's dad got called in to fight the fire cos all off-duty fire fighters are being called in. wow, i'm in shock.
