New school, new course, new life.

School started on Wednesday, and I don't have any complaints about it so far. In fact, I'm kind of enjoying my lessons and instead of doodling mindlessly or playing games on my phone like I usually do, I've been listening attentively, taking notes, answering questions, and actually doing the exercises given.

On the first day, I went into class late and was surprised that most of my classmates already knew each other and were sitting in their cliques - they were in the same class for the Mass Communication Advanced Diploma and went on to the degree course together. So I sat alone at the back. I was prepared to not get to know anybody during my first lesson, but during our 20 minutes break, 2 girls sitting at the table next to mine suddenly called out to me and introduced themselves. They are really very nice, and I'm so grateful to them for taking the initiative to talk to me first.

Today, our Advanced News Gathering and Writing Professor talked abit about our On-Campus Residency Programme (she used it as an example on Interview Questions), and the whole class was buzzing after hearing her describe what we're going to be doing during our 3 weeks in Oklahoma. Hailey and I kept looking at each other and giggling because we were trying very hard to contain our excitement. A few other classmates also came to talk to me today; my class is filled with nice people! I don't regret my decision to quit the Banking and Finance Degree course at SIM and switching to the Mass Comm Degree course at MDIS at all. It may even be the best decision that I've ever made. I'm really happy with the way things are right now.
