update
Hey guys, it's been over a week since I last updated, so why not take the time right now while I wait for them to decide what I should do next here at work. And yes, believe it or not, I did a lot yesterday! It was quite exciting. It would have been even more exciting had I not been sick.
Anyway, it's been since last Monday, so here's what's happening:
I've been busy busy busy. School is kicking my butt like you wouldn't believe. The best I can do in World Religions is a B. I will most likely get B's in English and Linear Control Systems. And I'll be happy with a C in Software Engineering. Does that describe how tough it's been?
I had Teal Sound camp over the weekend. At least that was a good point. I'm even more excited now about travelling. I'm really starting to get along with the people there, minus the girl who hates me because I'm trying to take the solo. Not my problem.
Monday saw a 7 hour meeting ... that's right, 7 hours! Why do we need 7 hours to decide on 9 officers? In any case, I'm the new Chaplain for next year, so I guess I should be happy. I don't know, though. I'm kind of scared. Hopefully things will get better and I won't need to be so busy with it.
Tuesday, I got chewed out by one of my group members in English class because I did my work. Apparently they didn't listen when I said I'd take the outline we made and type it into an intro for our group paper. So, when I showed up to class with an intro, and she had also written one, she got pissed off at me. Believe me, sweetheart, I wouldn't have done it had I known you were going to do it. After that weekend, I easily could have used the extra sleep. I wasn't doing it to make your life miserable, but apparently that's what I did. Never thought I would piss someone off for actually doing my work.
I got sick yesterday, but I'm already getting better. I don't hurt and I'm breathing again. Just a bit stuffy anymore. Thank goodness for DayQuil and Zicam.
And today I have my very first 5k ... and I'm still sick. It's okay, though. It's a corporate thing. There's supposed to be something like 8,000 people running/walking/watching from about 300 companies in the area. We'll see how long I last and if I can't breathe because of this darn cold I'll just walk it.
Other than that, life is just work and school. That's about all I've been up to.
