"Not for all my little words..."
I finally finished the book of Willa Cather's short stories, essays and other writings I'd been working on since last month - all 1002 pages of it. According to my calculations, I am now just three short stories away from finishing all her major works.
Although I still have about six Gothic novels for my collection to read, I am going to spend the next several weeks re-reading the Harry Potter books in preparation for the seventh installment.
I am also listening to the final book in the Unfortunate Events series as I drive to and from work each day. I honestly think I could listen to Tim Curry read the back of a cereal box and still find it terribly amusing. As Stephen Merritt performs all of the songs for the audio book series under the pseudonym of the Gothic Archies, listening to the book has put me in the mood to mellow out to lots of Magnetic Fields music, which is exactly what I've been doing on and off for the past hour.
