Doctor Who:

Favorite female character: Liz Shaw. Or the TARDIS. I can't deciiiide! ;-) Liz only has one season, and the TARDIS has 31.5 so far - but Liz packs so much more into hers. The TARDIS only gets anything to do about every third year.

Um... favorite in canon is Liz, favorite in fanon is the TARDIS? :-) Because TARDIS!fic is my favorite.

Favorite male character: Rory Williams. Because he is awesome (and the first companion I have actually identified with. If I traveled with the Doctor, Rory is exactly what I would act like). But there is also the Brig, who gets precedence because he is dead. :'-( Briiiiiiiig.

Favorite moment/episode/arc in canon: Can I have one of each? No? ;P I'm going to. Things I've seen, only, so there's a lot that's not eligible.

Fave moment: Harry getting the mine out from under Four's foot in "Genesis of the Daleks". Harry is brilliant, and he does not get enough Competent!Harry screentime, but being all level-headed and deadpan humorous there was lovely.

Fave episode: "Midnight". I like it for not being Who, if that makes any sense; it's "something completely different", where the Doctor is sans companion, sans TARDIS, and not in control of the situation. It uses RTD's writing style and mindset, and it fits them. As a one-shot thing, it's the most breathtakingly clever bit of sci-fi I've ever seen - sort of "Doctor Who does The Twilight Zone" or something, and just about perfectly.

Fave arc: "Inferno". It's a seven-parter that barely ever lags, with not-too-stupid monsters and clever writing. And two of the best cliffies I've ever seen. :D Also the ending!

Least favorite character: Oh... *thinkyface* Probably somebody boring and obstroculous. Um - the guy who made the decision to bomb the Sea Devils just when Three was getting through to them, that guy. (Most Who villains I can remember are pretty awesome, but that guy was boring and stupid and took up far too much time.)

Least favorite moment/episode/arc in canon: Of the ones I've seen? (The trouble with this is that even in Who, I'm pretty much making stuff up. *g*) Um - the Drashigs in "Carnival of Monsters". They're completely hilarious. Prim used one in her Sesame Street Three!vid (you've seen that, right? Dee Dee Dandy? Love that vid) for "dangerous dragon", and everyone I've ever showed the vid to has cracked up when the Drashig pops up. So. Extreme scary!fail. ;-)

Favorite femslash pairing: Liz/TARDIS. Specifically, Eleven's TARDIS. (Don't judge me, okay? *puppy eyes* Eleven has the most gorgeously pettable TARDIS interior. And I tend to want to 'ship Liz with everything... IDEK.)

Favorite boyslash pairing: Er. Have I got one? I can't think of one. Two/Jamie are platonic (I am very stern on this), Three/Brig is a total O_O, so is Five/Turlough, Nine/Jack I haven't seen yet, and Eleven/Rory doesn't even.

Favorite het pairing: Three/Liz. I ship it to the extent that I can't really read Liz/Brig even as a background pairing without going "...are you watching the same show I am?" The invisible fireworks are SO VISIBLE. But nobody writes it! >:-(

Favorite threesome: I'm going to go non-sexual for this and say Team Two/Jamie/Zoe. SO CUTE. Also Wendy Padbury is the most gorgeous companion in the whole 48 years, bar none. *nodnod* (And her voice. Not so much on the show, but now she's grown up it's like honey. Beautiful. I could listen to her read the phone book.)

Favorite nonsexual pairing (romantic or BFFs): Doctor/TARDIS. It's this incredible romantic life-partners pairing where... yeah, they definitely have mind!sex (and probably a good bit of hands/console making-out when the "kids" aren't around - I have headcanon about Time Lord hands, yes), but because she's a time machine, anyone who writes it has to play around and make it about the relationship and what they mean to each other, rather than the (boring, IMO) classic nekkidity stuff that most intense pairing!fic runs to.

Er, that was probably more than you ever wanted to know about the inside of my head... *needs an emoticon for wink, grin, and eyeroll at the same time*

Competent Harry is indeed a lovely thing, to be celebrated when it happens.

And, aw, well, there *is* Three/Liz about, but I think the predominance of Three/Jo in fic gets in the way a bit. (Not that, really, there's much of that, either!) But they are as shippy as heck sometimes, especially the Doctor to Liz, whereas she seems more amused by him at times. Brig/Liz and Three/Liz are both there to be seen, and some people just give up and OT3 them. Sadly, I am an evil Brig/Liz shipper. I convert people to it. It's the snark, you know, it's such fun. And I love the way they have a more adult dynamic than a lot of DW ships. :-) But I can see how much the Doctor and Liz get on, too. (I just don't do Doctor ships very much. And I think the Brig deserves as much love as possible. :-D)

With boyslash, the safe option is always Jack/Anyone,. And Two, Jamie and Zoe are... As I once said, I could watch them clean a kitchen, their dynamic and banter is so very adorable in every way.

These memes are an excuse to waffle fannishly! It is your LJ. :-) I enjoyed visiting the inside of your head. (Don't worry; I won't stay. That would be disturbing for both of us. LOL)
