Last day in the client offices. Their VP of Marketing made me feel so welcome and appreciated, awwww. She's like the nicest VP ever. It goes to show that you don't have to chew people's head off to climb up that corporate ladder.
I did not feel like exploring much today, mainly because I was tired. I went shopping for some new dress pants at their huge Macy's, and bought a bunch of popcorn from Garrett's to bring back.
I did go to Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill. I had to get the margarita, since people on yelp rave about it. It was a good margarita made very simply: Sauza Gold, Cointreau orange liqueur, and lime juice. I would say one of the top, behind the one I had in Puerto Vallarta. For dinner, I had the Puerco al Guajillo: grill-roasted Maple Creek pork loin in spicy red guajillo sauce. At first bite, I thought it was pretty good with a nice kick to it. The pork was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. But it was all about the sauce. It was like crack. The more I ate, the more I fell in love with it. I want to go back and try something else!
The rest of the night was spent in the hotel room, watching the NBA finals (go Celtics!) with a fresh bag of popcorn.
